Xunantunich is an Ancient Maya archaeological site in western Belize. It’s located atop a ridge above the Mopan River and within sight of the Guatemala border. Climb to the top of Xunantunich “Stone Woman” or take a tour and learn about local legends.

Known as the “Best Little Zoo in the World”, Belize Zoo is a must see. Starting in 1983 as a last effort to provide a home for a collection of wild animals used in making documentary films about tropical forests this “backyard zoo” grew into 29 acres of tropical savanna and exhibits over 170 animals. Representing over 45 species, all native to Belize, visitors will be introduced to the animals of Belize and educated on why it is important to protect the habitats that sustain them.
